Depart for a scenic drive in Deadwood, known as the wildest town in the West. Continue to the Sanford Mine Homestake Visitor Center to view the exhibit hall and the Open Cut.
Travel Spearfish Canyon National Forest Scenic Byway to view beautiful waterfalls and rock formations. Stop at the rustic Latchstring Inn, with the Little Spearfish Falls Trail located directly behind. Then enjoy a short roadside stop for Bridal Veil Falls, a 60-ft. waterfall cascading over rock layers like Victorian lace.

#2 Badlands National Park—8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.— $48
Explore the South Dakota Air and Space Museum. From there, travel to Wall Drug. This 1931 unique shopping emporium includes a restaurant, a Frontier Town with western gifts and merchandise, and The Backyard. Your next destination is Badlands National Park. The moonlike landscape dates back to the prehistoric era. Take a break at the Ben Reifel Visitor Center, then continue into the park with stops at scenic overlooks, with time for photos and short trail walks.

#3 Wyoming Excursion—7:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.—$48
Depart to Devil’s Tower National Monument. Devil’s Tower is a laccolithic butte in the Bear Lodge Mountains and is considered sacred to the Lakota and many other tribes.
Continue to Vore Buffalo Jump where tribes hunted buffalo. Continue to lunch break on your own at the Buffalo Jump Saloon & Steakhouse (American cuisine) located in Beulah, WY.
Walking Difficulty: Easy (Tower Trail at Devil’s Tower is a 1.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels.) – Includes transportation, limited narration, admissions and sales tax. See scenic Black Hills National Forest with Vanocker Canyon and Pactola Reservoir on your way to Hill City. Arrive at Prairie Berry Winery, known for its wines since 1876. Sample and shop for your favorites.
Reboard your coach to travel to the old gold town of Keystone. All aboard the 1880 Train for a one-hour, narrated, 10-mile trip with Custer State Park vistas. Arrive at the Hill City Train Depot with free time to explore the town and dine on your own.

#6 Patriotic Mount Rushmore Lighting Ceremony—3:45-11:30 p.m.—$46
Mount Rushmore National Memorial has new activities, trails and films. You will receive a meal voucher for Carver’s Café.
After dinner stroll for a close-up view of the faces; hike the half-mile Presidential Trail. In the evening, see the Mt. Rushmore program in an outdoor amphitheater.

#7 Deadwood—3:45-10:30 p.m.—$81
Enjoy “Old West History” in Deadwood. See the Days of 76 Museum and the Black Hills history at the Adams Museum.
After at the Deadwood Social Club, enjoy free time to explore Deadwood before returning to the hotel.
