2008-2010 Goals

1. Create the BUZZ by communicating monthly with state organization presidents, communications committee chairmen, editors and web masters; post communication, e.g. "Tip of the Month" on the Society Web site
   
   
2. Encourage chapters to publish information about their activities in local media
   
   
3. Provide suggestions to chapters to make the Society more visible
   
   
4. Recognize outstanding educators
   
   
5. Encourage the use of "elevator speeches"
   
   
6. Distribute / Share Society publications in various community locations such as doctors’ offices, libraries, teachers’ lounges, etc. Encourage the use of "elevator regional conferences and international conventions
   
   
7. Present pre-conference training sessions for state organization editors speeches"Recognize outstanding educators
   
   
8. Provide model press releases for members at chapters, state organizations, and web masters and offer communications workshops at regional conferences
   
   
9. Study and utilize at least one Leadership Tool from "Leadership Tools on the Net." Encourage all members to do the same
