Why DKG and TOMS?

President Rants became fascinated with the TOMS business model during the time the Society was marketing the Shoe-in Challenge to chapters. Her idea: honor our winning chapters by helping put shoes on the feet of people who need them! Through a generous gift from the Educational Foundation, we purchased TOMS shoes for children in need in the Spokane area. Our One for One shoes went to Guatemala, a member country!

Now, TOMS has also made a generous offer to us! For every pair of shoes purchased through the TOMS Web site (when the proper code is entered) – Women’s, Men’s or Children’s – five dollars will be returned the Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Foundation. It is very simple: link to the TOMS site through the Society Web site or go to TOMS shoes – make your shoe selection. During the payment process, enter the code DKGSI in the discount code box. It is that simple. Three things will happen: you will receive wonderful shoes for yourself or your family. A child will receive a pair of shoes – One for One. The Foundation will receive funds which will be used to further literacy and other projects. All of this honors our chapters who worked so hard to maintain or grow their membership.
