About the Committee

Composed of one member from each region plus a chairman, members plan a leadership development conference for state organization presidents and new executive secretaries preceding each regional conference. The committee plans and implements leadership sessions for state organization and chapter presiddents held at the international convention.

Committee Goals

To develop a core curriculum as a guide for state organization presidents.
To present Leadership Development conferences for the incoming state organization presidents and new executive secretaries. These conferences will be provided prior to each regional conferences. The emphasis of the conferences will be on strengthening leadership skills and providing information about the Society.
To participate in the Info Fairs at the 2009 Regional Conferences.
To explore and encourage the use of technology as an effective leadership tool.
To present Leadership Development workshops for chapter presidents and state organization presidents at the 2010 International Convention.
To communicate with state and chapter leadership development committee chairs.
To support state organization presidents throughout the biennium.
To encourage and promote leadership development throughout the Society.
