About the Committee

The Golden Gift Fund was established in 1979 to commemorate the Society's 50th anniversary. When money is available, interest from investments and contributions are used to finance Leadership/Management Seminars. Other projects include offering Special Stipends to provide financial assistance to members to develop skills and meet specific educational and professional needs.

The Golden Gift Fund Committee administers the fund income after Executive Board approval of recommended projects. The Golden Gift Fund committee determines guidelines for use, recommends projects to the Executive Board, and determines criteria for selection of Leadership/ Management Seminar participants and Special Stipend recipients.

Committee Goals

1. To select participants for the Leadership/Management Seminar and Special Stipends Award
2. To plan the 2012 LeadershipManagement Seminar
3. To conduct workshops during international convention and regional conferences, and   participate in info fairs
4. To consider holding a pre-convention seminar
5, To host a Golden Gift reunion during convention
6. To publicize the Golden Gift Fund activities and recipients
7. To update all committee materials
8. To generate funds to support the Golden Gift Fund
9. To survey state organization presidents as to the availability and organizational structure of Leadership/Management Training at the state oganization level and develop models for state organizations.
10. To evaluate the feasibility of holding a Renaissance Program
11. To establish a objectives and activities in the International Strategic Plan
