These pictures were taken at Phil Campbell and Hackleburg, Alabama, after the tornadoes struck there on April 27th. In addition, there is a picture of Martha Poole Simmons, member of Alpha Chapter in Alabama, with the American Red Cross's emergency response vehicle that was used to deliver hot food, water and snacks to people who suffered from the effects of the tornadoes in northwest Alabama. Over 15,000 American Red Cross volunteers came to Alabama to help people. Joplin, MissouriJoplin, Missouri has more than 260 teachers that lost their classroom supplies and materials. Because of the recent tornado, we have more than 260 teachers who need to restock their classrooms with supplies/materials for the upcoming school year. Insurance does not cover this expense. When students come back to school on Aug 17, we would like it to feel as normal, warm and welcoming as possible. We need the help of groups and organizations to do this.
