International Nominees 2018-2020
Cathy P. Daugherty
Retired Latin instructor, currently serves as chair of the International Constitution Committee, member of the Constitutional Interpretation Committee, and DKG/NGO representative. She has been a Society member since 1988. Daugherty received the 2016 DKG Achievement Award while she was international first vice president. She serves as Virginia’s parliamentarian and chapter webmaster.
FIRST VICE PRESIDENT
Currently serves as international second vice president and has been a DKG member since 1989. Sadowski, past Tennessee state organization president and Southeast Regional Director, has demonstrated experience at all levels of DKG. She participated as a member of the International Golden Gift Fund Committee and chair of the International Leadership Development and Membership committees.
SECOND VICE PRESIDENT
Dr. Lace Marie Brogden
Ontario, is the Dean of Education at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Canada. She is a past state organization president and presently serves as chair of the International Leadership Development Committee. Brogden has served on the Administrative Board as Northwest Regional Director and as Canada Area Representative. She has served on four additional international committees including as chair of the International Scholarship Committee.
EU REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Is a past Iceland state organization president and has served on the Europe Forum, chairing for two years. She also chaired the International Membership Committee and is now serving on the Golden Gift Fund Committee preparing the 2018 Leadership Management Seminar.
NE REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Jane D. Tanner
Professor of mathematics at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY, has been a member since 1991. She has served as New York state organization executive secretary, president and treasurer. She is chair of The Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Foundation. Tanner has served on the International Finance Committee and the Golden Gift Fund Committee.
NW REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Donna Niday
Is an associate professor and Coordinator of English Education at Iowa State University. She has a Ph.D. in English Education from the University of Iowa. Niday was president of Iowa state organization, chaired the International World Fellowship Committee and served on the International Leadership Development Committee. Niday is a published author and past president of the Iowa Council of Teachers of English.
SE REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Has served as Tennessee state organization president, first and second vice president and currently serves as state organization executive secretary. Warwick has served on the International Personnel and Nominations Committees and currently chairs the Educators Book Award Committee. A 2004 graduate of the Leadership Management Seminar, Warwick has been a DKG member since 1975.
SW REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Has served on the International Educational Excellence, Golden Gift Fund, and Personal Growth and Services committees. Gregory is a 2001 graduate of the Leadership Management Seminar. She is Texas state organization immediate past president and serves on the 2018 International Convention Steering Committee.
MEMBER AT LARGE
Now serves as chair of the International Membership Committee and the Texas state organization Global Awareness Committee. She is a 2012 graduate of the International Leadership Management Seminar and has previously served on the International Scholarship Committee. Rensink was an International Speakers Fund speaker in Costa Rica.
AREA REPRESENTATIVE (CANADA)
Is the Alberta state organization immediate past president. She has traveled to all provinces in Canada and has filled various leadership roles at the chapter and state levels. Rose has been a member of DKG since 1991.
Is currently filling an unexpired term as Latin American Representative to the Administrative Board. She is a member of the Ad Hoc Elections Process Committee. Her past experience includes chair of the International World Fellowship Committee and member of the Ad Hoc Latin American website committee.
Has served as Arizona state organization treasurer for the past six years as well as serving on the state organization finance committee. Threewit served on the 2014-2016 International Non Dues Revenue Committee and was a recipient of the Arizona State Achievement Award. Threewit has been a member since 2001.
Dr. Margie Nowak
Is currently chair of the International World Fellowship Committee and served on the International Nominations Committee. Nowak is a Nebraska state organization past president and is currently the Nebraska state organization treasurer. She received the 2015 Nebraska State Achievement Award.
Is Arizona state organization past president and currently serves as state editor. She has served on three international committees: Golden Gift Fund, Non-Dues Revenue, and Educators Book Award. Most recently she was the International Speakers Fund speaker at the El Salvador state organization convention. Lewis has been a member since 1977.
Served as Southwest Regional Director. Her service includes seven international committees and chairing the ad hoc committee investigating the establishment of the Arts and Humanities Jury. Schieber is a 1990 graduate of the International Leadership Management Seminar as well as a recipient of the 1996 International Golden Gift Special Study Stipend.
Is an Iceland state organization past president. Since 2007 she has been the webmaster for her state organization and the European Forum. She has given workshops at European regional conferences as well as pre-seminar programs including expertise in computer technology. As a senior lecturer at the University of Akureyri, her academic research interests are in educational studies and design of curriculum material.
Is a retired teacher with elementary, secondary and adult education experience. Within DKG she has held various offices at the chapter and state levels including finance and scholarship committees. Rodaway is the Ontario state organization president and was on the steering committee for the 2017 Northeast Regional Conference.
Lynna Gene Cook
Is currently the Clinical Supervisor and Program Facilitator at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She has served as both a trustee and chair of The Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Foundation. Presently, Cook is the Nebraska state organization parliamentarian and was awarded the 2005 Nebraska Achievement Award.
Has been active in all levels of leadership in DKG. She served on the initial International Non-Dues Revenue Committee. In addition to serving as Kentucky state organization president, Jeffries is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian.
Is the Southwest representative to the United States Forum. An Oklahoma state organization past president, she is a recipient of her state’s achievement award. Davis attended the 2008 Leadership Management Seminar and chaired Oklahoma’s leadership seminar. She is currently the Oklahoma state organization webmaster. Davis has been a member since 1987.
