Event Access and Conduct Policy

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG) reserves the right to manage access and conduct at all DKG-sponsored events and ticketed functions.

All individuals attending a DKG-sponsored event or ticketed function, including members, guests, speakers, vendors, and staff, must be properly registered or hold a valid ticket and, when applicable, display official event credentials or proof of purchase. Access to sessions, meetings, or functions may be limited based on registration category, ticket status, or role. Event leadership, designated staff, or authorized volunteers may request verification of credentials or tickets at any time.

An individual who attempts to enter or remain in a session, meeting, or ticketed function without proper registration or a valid ticket shall be informed that access is restricted to authorized participants. If on-site registration or ticket purchase is available, the individual may be directed to the appropriate location. If registration or ticket purchase is not available or the individual is not eligible to attend, access shall be denied. Refusal to comply will result in escalation to senior DKG leadership on site. Professional security personnel will be contacted if available; otherwise, venue management will be notified for assistance. In circumstances involving safety concerns, credible threats, or unlawful behavior, local law enforcement shall be contacted. DKG officers, volunteers, and staff shall not physically remove any individual.

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner consistent with DKG policies and standards of conduct. Disruptive behavior includes conduct that interferes with the orderly progression of a session or function, creates a hostile or unsafe environment, violates DKG policy, or disrupts the experience of other attendees.

If disruptive behavior occurs, the presiding officer or designated event leader shall issue a warning and request that the behavior cease. Continued misconduct may result in the individual being directed to leave the session or function. Refusal or escalation will be referred to senior DKG leadership on site. Professional security will be engaged if available; otherwise, venue management will be notified for assistance. Law enforcement will be contacted when circumstances require.

DKG leadership may revoke event credentials or tickets and require the individual to leave the event venue. Removal for cause may occur without refund.

When feasible, professional security services shall be utilized for events of significant size or complexity. Any incident involving denied entry, removal from a session or function, revocation of credentials or tickets, or involvement of security or law enforcement shall be documented by the designated event leader or staff member and retained in accordance with DKG recordkeeping procedures.

This policy applies to all DKG-sponsored events and ticketed functions and shall be implemented in a consistent and non-discriminatory manner in compliance with applicable laws and venue requirements.
