2022 CONVENTION

The DKG 2022 International Convention in New Orleans —often called the “Big Easy” — is approaching quickly. Register for the convention and secure your hotel reservation. The convention agenda is packed with speakers and sessions, providing a variety of opportunities from which you can select. Electing new international officers and voting on proposed amendments to the governing documents are Society business matters that will take place at the convention. Every DKG member has a voice, so make your vote count by attending the convention.

The 2022 International Convention will run from July 12 – 16. Enjoy networking with women from across the globe while enjoying the sights and sounds of an exciting city! Attendees are encouraged to bring family and friends to experience the city as DKG members participate in the Society’s first in-person convention since 2018. Many activities are available throughout New Orleans, such as the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, the National World War II Museum, a steamboat ride on the Mississippi, and the Sazerac House. A walk around Jackson Square is a must. Tours of Mardi Gras World can give visitors an up-close and personal experience of the floats and costumes; purchase a ticket to the DKGIEF event to be held there to enjoy it with other convention attendees.

Each member is also invited to engage in the convention events by becoming a volunteer. Sign-Up Genius will be utilized to offer members a variety of ways to be involved in the success of the convention;  Consider signing up to work at registration and meet new friends. Be a table decorator or hostess — or both. Share your smile as a hospitality volunteer or room monitor — or be willing to help wherever you are needed. Won’t you consider being a volunteer for the 2022 DKG International Convention?

DKG Convention App Now Open!

The convention side of the DKG App will help attendees to stay up to date with the latest information and to interact with other registered attendees. The app itself will use the same protocols —including the login process — as it did in 2021 and the years prior. Available features will again allow members to view the agenda, post on the discussion board and the photo feed, view speaker information, and more! As we move toward convention and details are solidified, additional features and content will be made available on the app. Look for gamification opportunities, read the proposed amendments to prepare for voting, and interact with fellow attendees ahead of and while attending the convention!

Keynote Speaker | 2022 NOLA Convention

Courtney Clark is the luckiest unlucky person in the world. After a series of major struggles beginning in her mid-20s, she has built two successful businesses and is the author of two books, including her most recent book The Successful Struggle: Powerful Techniques to Achieve Accelerated Resilience. She works with people who want to adapt faster and achieve more, and has spoken worldwide to organizations like Procter & Gamble, Dell, S&P, Humana, Cisco, and Cardinal Health.

Courtney’s resilience work has been called “practical,” “powerful," and “empowering” by industry leaders, and she’s been featured in Forbes, Psychology Today, USA Today, and The Chicago Tribune. If she wasn’t writing and speaking about resilience, Courtney would have wanted to be a tap dancer. Thankfully for her audiences, she wasn't very good at it.
