Dr. Maxine Fawcett-Yeske
Dr. Maxine Fawcett-Yeske serves the Colorado State Organization as second vice president. She has served in leadership roles in both her local chapter and at the state level. Serving as chapter president during several biennia, she exemplifies the DKG member willing to serve whenever and wherever needed. As chair of the state organization leadership development team, she has encouraged and developed leadership roles in DKG. Her willingness to serve has also included presenting breakout sessions at DKG state organization events. She has shared her talents with a musical presentation presented at a Colorado State Organization Convention about the life of Frank Lloyd Wright's second wife. Dr. Fawcett-Yeske is currently a member of the Eta Chapter.
Dr. Fawcett-Yeske received the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) 2020 Award for Excellence in Inclusive Teaching. She has shown her commitment to diversity throughout her professional career. During her career at USAFA she has encouraged Native American students in various ways. She has taught Native arts such as making dream catchers. She has mentored cadets and accompanied them to national events such as the American Indian Science and Engineering Society Conference. Maxine also provided leadership for the Native American Heritage Club. Throughout her life and career, she has shown great love, respect and reverence for the Native American traditions and way of life. She has encouraged Native American students to make an impact on their communities. During Dr. Maxine Fawcett-Yeske's career, she has had a strong dedication to serving the cadets of the USAFA.
